Rev. Annettra Jones is a bold, Spirit-led preacher, pastor, and practical womanist theologian called to the work of healing, justice, and transformation. A native of Louisville, KY, she is a resilient leader whose prophetic voice has been shaped by lived experience, refined through trials, and anchored in unwavering hope. As an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Rev. Jones has faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Cook Memorial UMC, Associate Pastor at St. Andrew UMC, Associate Director of Diversity, Missions, and Justice for the Indiana Conference and as the Senior Pastor of Faith UMC in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

A first-generation college graduate, Rev. Jones earned her GED before completing a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sullivan University and a Master of Divinity with a Certificate in Black Church Studies from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She has received multiple honors for her preaching and biblical scholarship and holds various certifications. A self-described “prisoner of hope,” she lives out the Gospel with integrity and conviction—believing that faith must be both proclaimed and practiced. She is deeply committed to helping others overcome shame, unlearn trauma, and faithfully become the people God intended them to be.

Rev. Jones is a visionary, healer, scholar, activist, proud mother of three and Nana of one. As the Senior Pastor and Visionary of Scott UMC, Rev. Jones stands ready to lead this historic congregation into its next chapter.
